The corporation revealed intentions to establish branches in Kentucky and Virginia.
Every person has a preferred supermarket they regularly visit, and if you reside in the southern part of the United States, your top choice might be Publix. Recognized for its mouthwatering sandwich options and special local products, this retail food chain holds a significant presence throughout the Southern region.
Established in 1930 in Winter Haven, Florida, Publix stands as the biggest company owned by its employees nationwide. Presently, it operates 1,411 retail outlets spread throughout eight states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Luckily for Publix customers, more outlets will be opening shortly. The company has recently stated that it intends to establish new stores in Kentucky and Virginia.
Publix launched its initial store in Kentucky during the previous year, followed by the opening of three more outlets within the state, situated in Louisville, Lexington, and Northern Kentucky. A representative from Publix stated

it intends to launch 10 more outlets in Kentucky, including two set to begin operations later this year. These upcoming locations will include cities such as Louisville, Hardin County, Lexington, Owensboro, and Northern Kentucky.
Another store is scheduled to open in Winchester, Virginia, near the Washington Metro area, which will become Publix’s most northerly location so far upon completion. Although an official opening date hasn’t been announced yet, a Publix representative stated that the developer has started construction at the site.
“Publix is pleased to consider Kentucky and Virginia as our home, and we remain committed to delivering the Publix experience throughout these regions,” stated media relations manager Jared Glover.
