The second Molly V’s Homemade Ice Cream flavor competition has been handed over to the judges, and the task will be enjoyable, yet challenging.
That’s the perspective of Michael Vistocco, the proprietor of the Victor ice cream shop.
There are many excellent entries,” Vistocco remarked. “The judges are going to find it challenging to select the best ones.
In total, 182 ice cream flavor concepts proposed by Molly V’s customers will be reduced to four final entries.
Flavors are grouped into various categories, such as Candy, Coconut, Marshmallows, and Nuts; Coffee and Maple; Cereal, Cookies, and Desserts; Fruit & More; Banana and/or Peanut Butter; 4th of July; and Alcohol.
Who are the panel members in Molly V’s ice cream flavor competition?
The entries listed the flavor name along with the ingredients. Judges, who are unaware of the contestants’ identities, will review the recipes and determine their choices.
In addition to me, Rachel Bateman, the champion of the first competition last year, is one of the judges this year. Gramma’s Cookie Drawer, the Victor resident’s winning white chocolate ice cream flavor with shortbread cookies and raspberry swirl, remains a favorite on the menu, according to Vistocco.
Bateman is eager to go through all the applications and is anticipating more original concepts. She also has a plan in place.
“I sampled every flavor available on the Molly V’s menu this year, which has expanded my ice cream flavor preferences and may assist with my evaluations,” Bateman said.
Other judges consist of a food industry expert, Dominick Dardano, chef and owner of Fire on Main Restaurant in Victor. Channel 13 Meteorologist Marty Snyder will also be involved in selecting the winner.
As many are aware, the outlook is always bright when it comes to ice cream.
When will the customers of Molly V’s be able to try the winning taste?
After the judges have reduced these 182 entries to four, Vistocco, who is not involved in the judging process, will create each flavor, which he aims to complete by the end of May.
“When I reach the final four, I will strive to convey the essence of the contestants’ entries,” Vistocco said.
Customers serve as the final evaluators. They will have the opportunity to taste each of the finalists’ creations and cast their vote for their preferred option.
Regardless of the flavor that receives the highest number of votes, it will be declared the winner. The victor will be revealed soon following the judging process, which could take place at any point in June.
Besides bragging rights and a year of free ice cream, here’s what else the winner can look forward to.
The cost of Molly V’s celebrity status
Whether you believe it or not, Bateman has not been approached for advice or flavor ideas in the past year, but she still receives requests.the origin of the name the history behind the name the background of the name the tale of the name the source of the name the meaning behind the name the story associated with the name the origin of the name’s title the narrative of the name the roots of the name. As a matter of record, her winning flavor was influenced by the cookies that Bateman, who was a young child then, secretly took from her grandmother’s cookie jar.
“Only my husband has asked me for ice cream, but I’ve made sure that friends and family have tasted my flavor,” Bateman said.
Bateman mentioned that it’s a wonderful experience when people inform her that they liked the taste, and she is pleased that it remains available on the menu.
I heard someone had my flavor during their lunch break every day for a week,” Bateman said. “That’s dedication!
